Last night, as I was taking my usual after dinner walk with my wife, I noticed some movement on the sidewalk. Of course, as usual, I was on the lookout for some wildlife to take pictures of. And, lucky me, it turned out it was a praying mantis. I had just discussed the fact that I hadn’t seen one in years with my daughter just before dinner. And here I am looking at one right there on the sidewalk. As you will see in these pictures it is very small. I would say probably a male due to its color.

8/2/2020, I am adding some information as I realized the original needs some clarification. As I recall from my childhood experience with wildlife in the Alps mountain of France, over there the female praying mantis was big and green, while the male was small and grey or brown.
